With over 11 years of experience, Dr. McGetrick focuses on a combination of complex medical dermatology, surgical procedures, and cosmetic dermatology. She treats all adult and pediatric skin disorders and has had extensive experience in managing complex medical dermatology and chronic skin diseases.

She is passionate about what she does and works to ensure that every patient receives the attention they deserve. She strives to provide comprehensive care for the entire family in a professional and welcoming environment.

Dr. McGetrick feels that subtle enhancements are much more beautiful than dramatic modifications when considering cosmetic treatments and is happy to discuss the many different cosmetic options that are available.

  • Dr. Joanna McGetrick is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Board of Dermatology. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Florida. She earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, one of the leading medical schools in the country.

    She completed an intensive combined dermatology and internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin and was also a Chief Resident for the dermatology department.

  • Dr. McGetrick’s special interests include complex medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. She treats all adult and pediatric skin disorders and has had extensive experience in managing complex medical dermatology and chronic skin diseases.

Fun Facts

Dr. McGetrick is a native Floridian. She is a mom to two fantastic kids and a wife to her high school sweetheart who is also a physician. She is an avid Gators fan, and loves riding horses, playing with her dogs, and enjoying all that Florida has to offer.
